My name is Madeline and I want to take a picture of you! Holistically, I’m an artist at heart. I paint, write poetry and run a pressed flower craft shop. I see the world in color, movement and authenticity. I’m very inspired by Impressionism work, Monet and Van Gogh being great influences on my approach. I find that film photography allows me to lean into those dreamy hues that I see in paintings.
I have an eye for capturing the details that capture more than just the moment, but the sentiment of the occasion. I want to capture the first bite of cake, I want the candid smiles, I want the blurry candles being blown out. These details can bring us back to those moments.
Perfect, clear, consistent, high-definition are not words I would use to describe my film photography. Choosing film means choosing one-of-a-kind.
