Denver Film Photographer, Artist, Dreamer, Lover
My name is Madeline Brik and I want to take a picture of you! On this website, I read as a photographer. Holistically, I’m an artist at heart. I paint, write poetry and run a pressed flower craft shop. I see the world in color, movement and authenticity. I’m very inspired by Impressionism work, Monet and Van Gogh being great influences on my approach. I find that film photography allows me to lean into those dreamy hues that I see in paintings.
For special events, such as weddings, engagements, elopements, gender reveals, birthday parties, anniversaries, album releases, gallery openings (the list goes on) — I have an eye for capturing the details that capture more than just the moment, but the sentiment of the occasion. I want to capture the first bite of cake, I want the candid smiles, I want the blurry candles being blown out. These details can bring us back to those moments.
Film is an art form that requires perspective. Perfect, clear, consistent, high-definition are not words I would use to describe film photography. Choosing film means choosing one-of-a-kind. There is not such thing as a duplicate film photo.
